If I thought that the universe was going to go easy on me for a little while, well… I was very very wrong.
But I don’t want to get into right now. I’ve spent the last seven days with my cortisol levels at a boiling point, and while I’m proud of myself (and my Lexapro) for keeping it all together more or less, I need to focus my attention elsewhere. Luckily, I took tomorrow off for a beauty day with my family since my mom is in town, and, being an extremely lucky beauty editor, I’m treating her and my sister to a seasonal skin tune up.
What does that mean? Well, let’s just say we’ll be visiting not just one but two dermatologists for some injectables and laser treatments. Even better, my mom has never done anything like this in the aesthetics space, and I’m so eager to get her into the chair for a little skincare maintenance. Plus, my face is reflecting just how stressed and generally down and out I’ve been feeling for the last few months, and frankly, some tweakments are exactly what I’m craving right now. That means a touch of Botox, a spot of filler, and a duo of lasers—naturally. It’s one of my favorite forms of self-care, after all.
