For as much as I love traveling, and I DO, the whole process of getting to the airport, slogging through security, squeezing into a plane, and sitting for an ungodly number of hours in a cess pool of germs is definitely near the top of the list for least favorite experiences. The irony is that I am in a position in my career that allows me travel to incredible places all across the globe (I know, I know, the world’s smallest violin is playing in the background). Once I’ve managed to pump myself up and accept that it’s simply going to suck for X number of hours, I can then focus my attention to more important things (aside from how lovely it will be once I arrive at said destination), namely how to keep my skin from shriveling into a dehydrated husk before we land.
In 36-ish hours, I’m boarding a duo of planes bound for… INDIA, which has been at the top of my travel wishlist for quite some time. The details of the trip I can’t share just yet (coming to a magazine near you soon) but suffice it to say, it’s going to be quite the wellness adventure. Getting there, however, is going to be a slog, as in nearly a full day and night of flying, plus a three-hour car ride after we touch down.
So, how do I remain feeling human after jet setting to the other side of the world? Well, the prep started yesterday so I’m definitely not messing around with this journey, but I already feel like I’ve designed the perfect in-air regimen to ensure I arrive as dewy and polished as possible.
