A Holiday Gift Guide of Stuff I*Actually* Want: Part 1
I've combed the Internet so you don't have to.
Like many people in media this time of year, I’m doing about as well as Helen Hunt in the tragically underrated extreme weather thriller “Twister”. We’re all just hanging on for dear life, trying to excavate treasures from a pile of rubble, and not sacrificing our undying love to Bill Paxton in the process — or something like that. It’s gift guide season, baby, and my inbox is a flaming dumpster fire of discounted swag.
Rampant consumerism aside, I do find that a few helpful suggestions can make the shopping process much less stressful. Plus, I pride myself on being a thoughtful gift giver, so I’m always looking for things that feel like they weren’t pulled from some endless list on The Strategist (no shade guys, I always cross reference my reviews with you!!). Essentially, I want more personalized recommendations on what’s a timeless purchase or a seasonal must-have so that I’m not rushing to find present hours before the required shipping date.
So, for the next few weeks leading up to the holidays, I’m going to be sharing bite sized gift guides for beauty, fashion, and lifestyle items that strike my fancy, because I believe in giving people crystal clear ideas of what to shop for. (I live in NYC, where there is zero spare room for superfluous items.) Add them to your wish list, snag them for your friends and family, and share some suggestions for things you are*actually* using/pinning/sharing/lusting after this season.
With 22 days until Hanukkah and 40 days until Christmas (plus general holiday frivolity and the desire to spoil your loved ones rotten), here’s part 1 of things I’d happily unwrap this season. Buy them for the people on your list or go ahead and treat yourself — I won’t tell :)
